Salamander glass mosaic pieces offer a different dimension to the look normally associated with traditional mosaics. These mosaic squares are made of cathedral glass which can be bonded to float glass in order to produce a mosaic window or lamp.
Mosaics have enjoyed a recent revival in popularity, the design and material possibilities are endless. You can use any glass or ceramic material to make mosaics - stained glass, ceramic tiles, old pieces of china, buttons, jewels, nuggets etc.
The material used will depend on the type of project and the end use of the mosaic. We recommend either of the 2 books we stock as a guide to the techniques of mosaic work.

1) Mosaic Cutter
A top quality mosaic cutter, with the advantage
of a carbide wheel that can be adjusted when
the cutting surface starts to wear. The jaws are spring loaded, opening to 14mm.

2) Coloured Designer Grout
Depending on the end use of the mosaic project, standard tile grout may be sufficient. For added
variety coloured designer grout is available in the
following colours:
Ivory
Summer Wheat
Sage
Light Chocolate
Black
450g tub of powder to mix with water.

3) Acrylic Grout Additive - 720ml
For outdoor projects and places where an
amount of flexibility is required, use instead
of water when mixing grout. Also helps to
prevent water penetrating the grout in the
finished piece.

4) Armorcrete Sealer And Finisher - 118ml
Provides a tough clear finish over the mosaic
pieces, sealing out dirt. Suitable for interior or
exterior use.
